Mark Harrison is a British artist renowned for his evocative and imaginative contributions to fantasy and science fiction illustration. Over his career, he painted more than 480 book jacket illustrations, gaining recognition at World Fantasy and World Science Fiction conventions and earning a devoted following among collectors in the UK and USA. His work was celebrated in the 1990 monograph Mark Harrison’s Dreamlands and featured in early Spectrum publications, cementing his reputation as a leading figure in fantastic art.
Featured in art magazines including International Artist and Artist & Illustrator for which he has written many articles and won numerous competitions. Regularly published in Infected By Art and the Art Renewal Center’s International Salon with work that straddles Imaginative Realism to Fine Art Landscapes and Cityscapes reflecting his wide variety of work including Fantasy, Science Fiction, Horror and Orientalism. All his work is self generated which allows him to pursue his personal vision at all times with his work showcased from 2014 to the present day at Illuxcon in the Main Show as well as in Fine Art galleries in Denver and New York.
